This Privacy Policy describes how the Storyteller app (“we”, “our”, or “the app”) handles information when you use our application on your device.
The app is designed to generate personalized fairy tales. To do this, we use:
We do not collect account information, names, emails, or other personally identifiable information unless you voluntarily enter them into the story fields (e.g. as “main heroes” or in the additional text). Such content is stored locally and may be sent to a third-party service only when you request story generation (see below).
When you generate a story, the app may send the prompt (built from your inputs, such as age, style, heroes, and additional text) to an external AI service to create the tale. That service may process this data according to its own privacy policy. We do not control that service’s data practices. We do not send or store your data on our own servers for story generation.
All preferences, saved stories, and settings are stored only on your device using the device’s local storage. We do not maintain servers that store your personal data. If you uninstall the app or clear its data, this information is removed from your device.
The app is intended for use by parents or guardians to create stories for children. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children. Any data used in the app (e.g. child’s age, story content) is provided by you and is stored only on your device or sent only to the AI service when you trigger story generation.
We do not sell or rent your data. Data may be sent to the third-party AI provider only when you use the story generation feature, as described in section 2. We do not share your data with other third parties for marketing or advertising.
We rely on your device’s local storage and the security of the third-party services used for story generation. We do not transmit your data to our own servers.
You can stop using the app at any time. To delete data: clear the app’s data in your device settings or uninstall the app. Clearing or uninstalling will remove all saved preferences and saved stories from that device.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top will be revised when we do. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
